Job Description
This position is responsible for the daily cleaning of guest cabins and guest rooms as well as public area cleaning in the Lodge and Employee Village (bath house and restrooms ±including toilets).
Work duties include making beds, changing sheets, cleaning bathrooms, scrubbing floors and vacuuming. Thoroughly cleaning and maintaining 7-8 guest rooms per day. Employees in this role are frequently using and exposed to cleaning chemicals. Employees perform strenuous repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods of time.

- Dorm-style housing is provided at no cost. A weekly meal plan is $70 with three meals provided daily in the employee cafeteria.
- Participants living onsite have access to GTLC’s recreation program where activities are planned for employees to participate in. These include hiking, exercise classes, sports tournaments (e.g. basketball, softball, volleyball) and many other activities.
- Employees can do all guest activities for free including horseback riding, raft trips, interpretive bus tours and lake cruises.
- Employees receive 20% discount in retail shops on or off the clock. Also there are discounts in town for free entrance to the wildlife museum and other discounts throughout Jackson.

Housing Description
Each property and site of activity has their own housing available on site. The employer has dorms with around 20 rooms with 2-4 people per room. Each participant will have their own bed. There are large communal bathrooms separated by gender in each dorm with several sinks, showers and toilets. These are older housing units and are very basic facilities in a National Park. Participants need to be aware of this.
Laundry facilities are included free of charge. WiFi is available in most of the dorms and locations, but due to remote nature it is not guaranteed in the rooms at all times. There are computers and internet available to use at each property.
The housing areas are considered ‘villages’ and allow participants to interact closely with all the fellow employees daily. If a participant quits and/or is fired they will be required to leave employer provided housing within 24 hours.
A microwave is available for participants to use in the employee cafeteria.
