Job Description
This position is responsible for all recreation functions, including monitoring recreation
facilities, ensuring positive and friendly guest relations, observing all activity within
assigned areas, offering assistance and instruction to guests/visitors. Assisting
Lifeguards with pool area cleanliness and organization. Planning and executing fun
filled activities both in the Family Zone and on the pool deck while striving toward total
guest satisfaction.
Pool Attendant :
- This position will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of pool facilities, public areas and restrooms.
- Consistently enforce all deck and pool safety rules.
- Pick up trash as found in common areas, empty trash containers, replace trash bags, as necessary; clean and sanitize restrooms.
- Sweep walkways and other pathways to and from resort facilities.
- Clean and straighten tables and patio furniture at beachfront, pool decks, exterior clubhouse patio areas, and other common areas as assigned.
Required skills :
In addition to a strong command of English, this position is physically demanding and
requires:
- Effective and efficient decision making
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, both in and out of water.
- Requires bending, lifting, pushing, climbing, standing for long periods of time.

Position Summary :
To manage, administer, direct and control the smooth friendly and efficient operation of the bell stand. To ensure that the guests’ needs are handled promptly, efficiently and courteously.
Responsibilities :
1.Greet all guests arriving and departing the resort, hold the front doors as they enter and exit.
2. Carry baggage to the guest’s room. Respond to request for bell service within approximately two (2) minutes.
3. Ensure that the front lobby, front interior and exterior entrances are kept clean.
4. Have knowledge of the hotel property, hotel staff and hotel services with hours of operations.
5. “Sell” the amenities of the hotel (i.e. restaurant, lounge, spa, etc.).
6. Be responsible for arrangement/storage of luggage carts. Extreme care and proper loading habits should be taken when carts are in use for the protection of guest property. Continually watch for people in halls, around corners, in elevators, and be aware of any possible safety hazards.
7. Have a daily knowledge of all in-house groups/events so that directions are given accurately to guests.
8. Deliver packages, faxes and messages to guests. All should be attempted to be delivered within 15 minutes of receipt.
9. Remove safety hazards.
10. Assist Front Desk as needed.
Required skills :
- Able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form with guests and associates so as to respond accurately and completely to people to give directions, instructions, information, answer questions and provide service as required.
- Properly handle guest complaints and/or concerns.
- Push and pull carts weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds.
- Lift and carry baggage up to fifty (50) pounds. – Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, with little or no sitting.
- Read maps and provide clear directions.
- Assist in evacuation in an emergency.
- Respond within 30 minutes to guest requests.
- Work in heated and/or cold conditions.
Work schedule : Varies. Am or PM shift.

Hotel/Resort Worker :
Restaurant Attendant
To clear and reset tables and assist the food servers in their duties while providing
courteous, professional and efficient service to the guests.
- Promptly clear and reset used tables. Remove dirty stock to dish area and breakdown trays. Take soiled linen to the Housekeeping Department for laundering.
- Stock and maintain service stations with the proper supplies before, during and after each shift.
- Promptly assist servers in the pre-busing of tables and delivery of order.
- Accurately and timely set up and breakdown daily buffet according to the hotel requirements and layout.
- Set up and refill coffee-to-go station in the lobby and keep it replenished, as needed. Keep area picked up and clear.
- Assist in the general cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant. Perform additional duties as required.
Restaurant Server
- The Restaurant server is there to make sure our customers receive prompt, friendly service in our restaurants at all times.
- Greet customers promptly upon taking a seat in the restaurant.
- Share any specials or make recommendations from the menu for the customer.
- Secure drink orders and take food orders in an efficient manner.
- Inspect food for accuracy and presentation prior to delivery.
- Maintain a clean table and assist with any refills or requests as needed. Complete all side station work and maintain a clean safe environment.
Host
- Monitors the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
- Escorts the guests to the dining room.
- Estimates wait times for guests and monitoring the guest waiting list.
- Ensures that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting.
- Keeps dining room occupancy chart current.
- Answers the telephone.
- Books reservations.
- Assist wait staff as needed, taking initial drink orders, moving tables together, etc.
- Inspect assigned restrooms and clean as needed.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Overtime wage (if applicable) : Overtime is available but not guaranteed. overtime rate is $10,88.
Estimated tips : Starting $4.00 per hour with average of $10 tips per hour ($7.25 per hour guaranteed minimum as per state requirement)
