Job Description
8 participants will be assigned to work at the employer’s location at the Family Kingdom Amusement Park (300 Ocean Blvd). Participants will be selling Italian ice to customers. They should be outgoing and friendly and able to interact and communicate with guests.
Participants must be able to describe flavors and answer questions. Participants must be comfortable starting up conversations and selling the product.
Participants need to be familiar with American currency and be able to conduct accurate cash and credit card transactions.
Participants need to be comfortable working outside in the weather, regardless of the temperature. During the summer, the weather is typically hot and humid during hours when participants will be working.
Participants will be paid an hourly wage of $10 per hour plus tips. At the end of the season, a $0.25 per hour worked bonus will be given to participants who complete their job requirements and work with the employer until their DS-2019 End Date. If participants stop work prior to their DS-2019 End Date, they will not be eligible for the $0.25 per hour worked bonus.

Participants placed at Dunes Village Resort will be living in a house located on 309 King St., Myrtle Beach, SC. (15 minutes or 3.3 miles from the Dunes Village Resort on a bike).
The house has 3 bedrooms with bunk beds, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. In each room there are one or two bunk beds. There could be 2-4 people living in each bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms shared by 4-6 people. The cost for this house is $100 per week. There is a laundry in the house and the cost is $10 per month per room.
Participants staying at Family Kingdom will be living at 27 History Dr, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. The cost is $125 per week plus $150 deposit (will be returned at the end of the stay).
If a participant is fired or quits their job at Roberto’s Italian Ice, they may still continue to live at the house, as long as they continue to pay rent.

The town of Myrtle Beach is located in South Carolina’s Grand Strand, which is the name for a 60-mile (100 km) stretch of beaches on the East Coast of the United States.
