Job Description
- Ensures that the general property appearance is well maintained and orderly.
- Ensures all floors are swept, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed.
- Ensures that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks kitchen areas with paper products as needed. Ensures all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly.
- Cleans and sanitizes appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold, and mildew. Defrost freezer as needed.
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and places rubber mats down to ensure safety. Cleaning bathrooms includes cleaning toilets.
- Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
- Ensures all offices are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed.
- Ensures all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed.
- Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Participants will be cleaning cottages between 200-400 square feet. Laundry is less than 5% of the time spent.
Job Benefits
- Transportation at times is provided by Jessica Doane or another resort team member.
- Free bicycles are loaned to the participants while working for Wild Acres and free WiFi Internet is available throughout the resort.
- Participants will need to purchase a bike helmet, lights, and lock.
- Participants will have full access to the resort and amenities.
- Participants can receive free meals at resort activities where food is provided. Resort Manager also occasionally provides pizza or other meals for the resort team. However, day-to- day meals are not provided.

Laundry facilities are available onsite. Linens are also provided. There is a bathroom in each unit with a shower, a kitchen with: a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and dish ware/cookware, and there is also a grill for use outside of the trailers. $50 rent is due Monday of each week. WiFi is and is provided at no cost.

Community Description
Old Orchard Beach is a suburb of Portland, Maine and is located approximately 1.5 hours from Boston, Massachusetts. Old Orchard Beach (OOB) provides many tourist opportunities and is a very busy area, seasonally. Shopping and restaurants are readily available and are within biking distance. Due to the location, participants have the ability to walk to the beach from the resort. This area is very culturally diverse and hosts several J-1 participants during the summer.
