Lifeguard

Guard swimming pool and ensure the safety of all patrons, enforce pool rules and check swimming pool passes, always remain vigilant and focused, always be prepared and ready to perform rescuer duties and provide first aid/CPR when necessary, maintain cleanliness of facility, monitor and operate pool filtration system, check water chemicals every hour and adjust when needed.

Students must: Attend and pass a Nationally Approved Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid Training which includes:
1) Swimming 100 meters continuously-demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing, may swim using front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both, swimming on the back or side is not allowed.
2) From the surface of the pool, dive to a depth of 2.4-3 meters; retrieve a 4.5 kg brick and return it to the surface.
3) Treading water for 1 minute without using arms. Cost: FREE* Conditions apply. See International Agreement for complete details. Students may be required to obtain a pool operator’s license upon their arrival to the USA *

Required skills

• Report to work in full uniform and no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled shift.
• Ensure patron safety at all times along with keeping pool and restrooms area clean
• Maintain filtration system & pool chemistry
• Keep pool area and restrooms clean
• Possible prolonged exposure to sunlight.
• Standing and sitting for long periods of time.
• Lifting and moving up to 25k.

Work schedule: Varies, Can be scheduled between 6am – 11pm
