Hotel/Resort Workers
Positions will vary based on needs and assigned by Host Company.

F&B positions: Steward, busser, hostess
Employees are responsible for the efficient and timely transportation of plates to the dining room. This includes proper plate presentation in the kitchen, polishing all plates for service, correct positioning of plates, and ensuring garnish guidelines are met. You will maintain a breakdown station from set-up throughout the shift, assisting the kitchen and service staff with side work as needed. Your responsibilities also include clearing and resetting tables, restocking the service areas and beverage station, and maintaining cleanliness of counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storeroom areas.

– Providing exceptional guest service.
– Greet and interact with Guest in a positive, friendly and professional manner
– Ensure customer satisfaction and answer any questions or comments from customers
– Preparing food in an appetizing manner.
– Accept payment from customers, and make change as necessary
– Abiding by all health code and food preparation guidelines.
– Maintain a clean workstation.
– Completes opening and closing checklists.
– Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products
– Cleaning in accordance to company standards including but not limited to: sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning tables, counters, kitchen and service equipment, removing trash, and cleaning restrooms.
– Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Room Attendant:
Employees are responsible for keeping guest rooms in a resort clean, safe, stocked and maintained. They are expected to be friendly and engaging when interacting with guests to project a positive image of the company
– Safe handling of cleaning products and chemicals and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
– Clean a specified number of rooms within a designated amount of time.
– Clean restrooms, furniture, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
– Change bed linens and make the beds.
– Replenish towels, linens, toilet tissue, toiletries and complimentary supplies.
– Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
– Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked and clean.
– Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
– Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
– Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers, hang draperies and dust window blinds.
– Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork as necessary to meet company standards.
– Carry heavy items and use a wheeled cart to transport supplies.
– Attention to detail, customer assistance and service is a critical part of this position.

Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management which the associate is capable of performing.

– Report works related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
– Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager.
– Requires problem solving abilities.
– Maintain a clean, safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
– Must be able to interact with co-workers and have a sense of TEAM.

Special requirements

Students will be using cleaning chemicals and gloves.
Housing is tied to this placement. Should participant be dismissed from placement housing will be terminated immediately.

Work schedule: Schedule may vary from 6:00 am – 22:00 pm.

Average hours over 2 weeks period: 32 hours per week

Job Benefits

Only Shirts will be provided.

On the final paycheck a seasonal bonus of $1.00 per every hour worked, up to 40 hours per week, may be added on the condition that minimum work requirements are met and you leave within good standing, and you complete your contract.

Description
Housing is dorm style. There is one large bathroom for the boys and one large bathroom for the girls.

Additional comments

Participants are subject to random room checks with no grace period to clean to ensure dormitory is kept within company standards. If participant’s room is found below general standards and is cited, participant is subject to loss of housing deposit. No exceptions will be made. Once written up 3 times for housing infractions, participant will completely forfeit his/her entire bonus, also risking possible termination.

Housing is tied to this placement. Should participant be dismissed from placement housing will be terminated immediately.

Bathrooms are large multi-stall facilities. One for males. One for females

Housing Deposit Required

Housing deposit: $300 Is deposit refundable: Yes Can housing be co-ed: Yes Further information on housing refund policy In order to receive the full $300 back, participant must stay until end of contract, housing unit must be in same condition as move in with no damages and not have citations or fines. Deposit will be returned in the last payroll check of the season, after all paperwork has been turned in and all participants have left housing.
