Ride Operator :

• Job Description: Ride Operators are responsible for creating a safe and enjoyable
  experience for all Guests through friendly and attentive service on a variety of different
  attractions.

Job Duties include but are not limited to any combination of the following :

• Interact with Guests in a professional, courteous and helpful manner
• Perform all aspects of ride operation as stated in the Standard Operating Procedure
  Manual and according to International Ride Training (IRT) requirements
• Monitor attractions to ensure normal operation and Guest compliance with all safety
  guidelines
• Ensure appropriate height, age and number of people requirements on attractions
• Assist Guests entering and exiting ride vehicles – Ensure passengers are secured safely
• Visually and physically check and secure restraining devices for each ride vehicle
  prior to dispatch
• Explain safety procedures to riders
• Ensure that ride areas are clear of all guests and team members before ride startup
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for fellow Ride Operators and Guests
• Initiate attraction shutdown procedures as necessary
• Complete required safety inspections
• Complete additional duties as assigned by superviso

Required skills : 

• Strong command of English to communicate with fellow Guides and Guests
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to lift up to 10kg
• Ability to read English IRT training program materials
• Possess a positive attitude and work well with others
• Attention to detail, and flexibility to help other positions is requested.

Work schedule :

Schedule varies. Weekdays and weekends. Approximate start and end times between
8am-10pm

Lost Island Operational Schedule :
1. May 31st – Official Opening.
2. Everyday operation: May 31 – August 24.
3. May 26-30 & August 25-29 – Lost Island is closed.
4. September 1st – Last day of the season.
5. June 16-Last day for arrivals

1. May 25th – New J1s mandatory arrival day.
2. May 26th – New J1s rest day.
3. May 27th & May 28th – Mandatory training.
4. May 29th & May 30th – Rest day/possible social security appointment if everyone is
verified in SEVIS.
5. May 31st – Start of full schedule.
6. June 2nd – Possible social security appointment if everyone was not verified by the
29th/30th in SEVIS.

1. May 27th – Returning J1s mandatory arrival day.
2. May 28th – Returning J1s rest day.
3. May 29th – Mandatory refresher training for returning J1s.
4. May 30th – Returning J1s rest day.
