Job Description
Cooks
responsible to assist in the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables, making salads, and putting together entrees.
Specific duties may include but are not limited to any combination of the following,
- Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products.
- Complies consistently with company standards on portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, recipes, policies and procedures.
- Prepares and portions food products prior to cooking.
- Handle raw meats and maintain health and safety standards
- Ensures quality of products served.
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Utilizes a wide range of kitchen tools and utensils, including but not limited to knives, grinders, broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers according the health and safety standards.
- Performs kitchen maintenance tasks such as emptying the trash and washing dishes.
- Promptly reports equipment and food quality or shortage problems to Kitchen Manager.
- Maintains a clean work station and assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and all storage areas.
- Monitors inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Graciously and quickly fulfills any guest request possible.
- Completes opening and closing checklists.
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
- Completes additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required skills
– Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.
– Standing and constant moving for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
– Frequent bending and stooping.
– Lifting up to 40lbs/11 kg.
– Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
Special requirements
Housing is tied to this placement. Should participant be dismissed from placement housing will be terminated immediately. Participants with kitchen experience.
Work schedule: Schedule may vary from 6:00 am – 22:00 pm.

The Food & Beverage Server
is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences by delivering prompt, courteous, and efficient service to guests. This role ensures that all food and beverage orders are accurately taken, prepared, and served in accordance with company standards, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role varies between Restaurant Server, Barista and Breakfast Attendant based on demand.
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements.
- Present menus, explain specials, and answer questions about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar promptly.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or complaints promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and dining spaces.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash or card transactions securely.
- Comply with health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow.

Room Service Attendant
The Room Service Attendant must provide friendly, efficient service of food and beverages desired by guests, and collect payment for such items
ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Room Service Attendant is responsible for ensuring that Room Service orders are promptly and accurately delivered. Must follow proper departmental SOPs as far as fulfilling room service orders
ESSENTIAL:
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, as defined in the hotel handbook, when working
- Comply at all times with New Castle standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his or her attention
- ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health & sanitation regulations
- ensure compliance with departmental S.O.P.s
- Deliver Room Service orders promptly and accurately
- Complete all side work before end of shift
- Restock and clean room service area prior to close of shift
- Complete tray sweeps throughout shift
- Be up to date on all guest services, promotions and events in the Hotel
- Complete daily closeout reports
- Successfully complete close out reports, drop cash, receipts and reports at the end of shift

- Ensure trays are properly set
