Serving Assistant

• Provides food and beverage service to members and guests (details below)
• Assist all servers on the floor in any food and beverage related tasks (details below)

Additional Requirement

• Set up work ares and perform assigned side work duties outlined in the training manual and any other additional work as told by the manager on duty
• Help in expediting food from the kitchen making sure what is on the ticket matches what is on the tray and garnishes and sauces are on the plate
• Serving the meal making sure that all plates are in front of the correct person
• Help in performing table maintenance during the meals (i.e. replenishing waters, clearing plates, clearing trash on tables)
• Maintains all work areas during the shift making sure they stay stocked and ready for the next team member
• Advises manager on duty of any member or guest issue
• Performs proper clean-up and closing duties as assigned by the closing manager along with what is required in the training manual
• Attends all pre-shift meeting to learn of daily specials and any announcements for the staff
• Assists with any tasks requested
• Assists at any other dining area as needed

Required skills

In addition to a strong command of English, this position is physically demanding and may require:
– Ability to receive direction and perform responsibilities in a fast paced environment
– Standing and constant moving for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift)
– Frequent bending and stooping , lifting up to 25lbs/11 kg
– Strong basic math skills with the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
– Positive team player
– Serving experience preferred but not required

Special requirements: Housing is tied to this placement. Should participant be dismissed from placement housing will be terminated immediately

Work schedule: Varies anytime between 8am -12am

Average hours over 2 weeks period: 32 hours per week
