Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring the well-being of guests, ensuring their safety
by preventing and responding to emergency situations both in and out of water. Should
an emergency occur, lifeguards are responsible for taking quick and decisive action
and providing the appropriate emergency care.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties may include but are not limited to any combination of the following :

• Ensuring guest safety and provide exceptional guest service.
• Standing/sitting in and out of water for long periods of time.
• Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
• Inspect facility as required and report any unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Maintaining skills at a rescue-ready level at all times.
• Remain alert and attentive at all times.
• Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
• Maintain professional lifeguarding practices at all times.
• Keep the facilities and property clean and comfortable for guests.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required skills : 

• Current license in Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program
  including CPR, First Aid, and AED. Will receive this training upon arrival. Participants
  will receive this training upon arrival.
• Swim 50 yards in 4 ft. of water and retrieve a 10 lb brick at bottom of pool.
• Must be a very strong swimmer.
• Must sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• You will be working in a humid, warm environment and be immersed in water for
  extended periods of time.
• Position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs.
• Climb multiple flights of stairs.

Work schedule : 

This position typically works eight hours per day, five days per week. Most have either
Monday/Tuesday, Tuesday/Wednesday, or Wednesday/Thursday off work. Shifts may
be in the day or evening.
