Job Description
For the Housekeeper – Water Park positions, participants will be assigned to the Splash Landing water park. These participants may be asked to help clean the park’s lodging, as needed, but they will be assigned primarily to the water park.
The Splash Landing water park has a wave pool, water slide, and Tiki Bar.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning outdoor and indoor areas in the vicinity of the water park
- Cleaning the water park’s restrooms, which includes showers, toilets, and a locker room-style dressing room area, where guests of the pool change clothing and store their belongings
- Removing garbage from the pool area and taking out the trash
- Participants will be using cleaning chemicals.
- Participants should be able to work in the sun and stand for long periods of time while on shift.
- Participants should have a high English level.
- The employer may also assign participants working as housekeepers light repair and yard work duties, for example repairing door frames and pulling weeds. Participants will not use power tools, only manual tools. For Housekeepers in the Water Park area, these repair and yard work duties will be assigned as needed but will not be assigned for a majority of participants’ hours.
- No more than 15% of participants’ hours will be scheduled for laundry duties or yard work
- Housekeepers assigned to the Water Park may be asked to help clean the park’s lodging, if needed. Job responsibilities for Housekeepers at the Lodging.
Job Benefits
- Participants will receive free admission to the water park located onsite, to be used while they are not on shift.
- Use of facilities and participation in free activities and amenities while not working. Activities and amenities that are normally paid for will be discounted at a 10% employee discount.
- Mark Twain Lake Jellystone has a full waterpark (free), large activity field which includes mini golf, outdoor movie theater, gaga ball, basketball court and other amenities (free), onsite coin laundry, very large store and wide variety of available food options.
- Employer provides full themed weekends with a number of free activities and ways to participate.
- Employer will provide free, weekly transportation.

Housing Description
Housing consists of a single wide trailer with three bedrooms, with sets of bunk beds in each room. There may be up to four participants per room. The trailer is furnished with a washer/dryer, full kitchen, and two bathrooms. There is also a cable TV in the trailer.
Some participants may also be housed in a cabin that accommodates 4 people in 2 bedrooms. The cabin includes a full kitchen, full bath, free WiFi, furniture, and linens. Each participant will have their own bed.
All participants will have access to free wireless internet in their housing.
Participants are provided onsite shared cabins.
Participants will share cabins with different configurations with up to 3 bedrooms, 2 to 4 participants are assigned per room depending on size; each with own bed.
Participants will be sharing bathrooms, no more than 6 per bathroom. Facilities are fully furnished with full kitchens and shared sitting room. All bedrooms are separated by gender, but housing is co-ed.

Mark Twain Landing is located approximately 10 miles from downtown Monroe City.
Monroe City is a quaint small town that is located at the junction of U.S. Highways 24 and 36 in Missouri, in the Midwest region of the United States. The town’s population is 2,441.
Monroe City is located just 17 miles west of Hannibal, Missouri, which is the boyhood home of Mark Twain, the American author who wrote “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and its sequel, “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.”
Mark Twain, who the park is also named after, is one of the most famous American writers, and to really make the most of participants’ experience, participants are recommended to read one of his books before they arrive. There are lots of Mark Twain sights in the area, so it would really help to understand by reading one of his books prior to arrival.
