Guest Services/Lifeguard :

The Guest Service position will assist in many different departments as needed on the business. All employees will be fully trained as a Lifeguard and Ride attendant.

***CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A 50-METER SWIM VIDEO***

You will be expected to provide a warm, friendly and memorable welcome to our guests and to ensure that their needs and expectations are met throughout their stay with us. You will provide support in all guest service related functions and will be expected to keep up to date with information about services from accommodation to food and beverage as well as maintaining an up to date knowledge of our facilities.

IMPORTANT

Positions may possibly rotate during the entire program based on needs assigned by the Host Company. Participants cannot choose their own titles or job descriptions unless approved by HR and Alliance Abroad.

Duties will include :

Helping guests process purchases, assisting with restocking inventory, keeping common areas and workspaces clean, completing seasonal park projects, and more.

Required skills :

In addition to a strong command of english, the participant must be able to work schedules and maintain regular attendance. Ability to stand for an extended period of time. Must be able to work in an environment that can be at times high paced. Must be able to work in all types of clement weather conditions. Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lilting, climbing, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis. Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business need. Must have excellent customer service. interpersonal and teamwork skills.

A Videotaped swim test will be required to be submitted prior to position acceptance

Work schedule : Shifts can vary between 06:00am and 00:00am.

Average hours per week : 40hr

Description : 

IMPORTANT Before participants arrive to Hawaii they must also receive a Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance. If possible, participants should bring a copy of their clearance with them upon arrival. More information on this clearance can be found here: Tuberculosis Control Program (hawaii.gov)

– This website offers guidance on how to complete a TB Clearance test in Hawaii. Depending on the country cost incurred will be between $30 and $450 and usually takes between 3 days to 2 weeks.

If participants have access to take a TB test in their home country and can provide a copy of their clearance on arrival, this will be preferred.

If the participants take the test in Hawaii, it will cost between $50-$100. It may take a week or two to obtain plus travel to and from the medical center.

Please note that housing in Hawaii is expensive and hard to come by. The host entity is providing housing, but it is expensive and Exchange Visitors will need to bring pocket money and budget accordingly.

Residing in Company housing is required. Transportation to and from work is provided
