Hotel/Resort Worker roles include :

• Room Attendant
• Restaurant FOH
• Restaurant BOH

Hotel Resort Worker – Specific duties may include but are not limited to any combination of the following:

Front of House (Banquet Server) :

• Prepare function rooms for banquet service: tablecloths, table decorations, silverware and
  condiments etc.
• Serve at various banquet functions, indoors and outdoors; serve non-alcoholic drinks,
  bring food to guests at table or serve on a buffet line.
• Clean and clear function rooms after event.
• Complete all side work responsibilities as directed by management.
• Ensure quality guest service and comfort at all times by monitoring the area continuously.
• Have knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc.
• Serve all items using appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
• Assist other servers when needed.
• Immediately relay all guest complaints and compliments to management.
• Maintain health and sanitation standards.

Back of House :

• Sweep and mop floors.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and cutting boards, etc. while maintaining sanitary conditions.
• Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place all in designated containers.
• Wash/sanitize/store pots, pans, and trays as required.
• Scrape food from dirty dishes/flatware and wash them by hand in racks on conveyor to dishwashing machine. Store as required
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage, kitchen and work areas by cart or by use of hand truck.
• Perform closing/cleaning duties as directed by the Chef
• Prepare all sauces and all dishes for breakfast, lunch & dinner menus in accordance with seasonal pars and scheduled shift.
• Perform dinner set-up duties according to the Prep List schedule.

Room Attendant :

• Safe handling of cleaning products and chemicals and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Clean a specified number of rooms within a designated amount of time.
• Clean restrooms, furniture, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
• Change bed linens and make the beds.
• Replenish towels, linens, toilet tissue, toiletries and complimentary supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked and clean.
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork as necessary to meet company standards.

Participants may be assigned to work at any positions listed, based on company’s needs.

Positions will be appointed at the time of hiring, but may possible rotate during the
program based on the Host Company needs and business demands. Participants cannot
select their own titles or job duties unless approved by HR and Alliance Abroad.

Required skills : 

• Have a good knowledge of the resort to direct guests to all facilities and outlets.
• Ability to receive direction and perform responsibilities in a fast paced environment.
• Standing and constant moving for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Frequent bending and stooping.
  – Lifting up to 25lbs/11 kg.
  – Ability to operate certain machinery as needed.
  – Positive, team player.

Work schedule : Varies can be scheduled between 06:00am – 00:00am
