Job Description :
Lifeguards must constantly monitor the guests in the swimming pools and ensure that guests follow the park rules. Lifeguards will be next to or in chlorinated water and will be in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Participants will be standing, sitting, and walking for long periods of time. As a lifeguard, participants must ensure a safe and healthy environment for the guests and they must be able to recognize and react properly in emergency situations.

Lifeguards will also work as water park attendants and supervise water park attractions. Additional duties may include checking and maintaining specific chemical levels in the pool, operating the pool filtration system, cleaning the pool and surrounding areas, removing trash, enforcing facility rules, and gate control. Participants may be cleaning toilets and be using cleaning chemicals.

Lifeguards will need to complete shallow-water training. See additional comments for certification requirements.

Participants that do not pass lifeguard training will either be able to work as a water park attendant only or as Park Attendants. Participants will receive fewer hours after August 20 but will be able to work as Park Attendants until their end dates. Participants are able to stay and work at the campground until September 16th at the latest. As Park Attendants, participants will clean full cottages and 1 and 2 bedroom cabins. The main duties include cleaning bathrooms (including toilets), refreshing linens, making beds, and restocking amenities.

Participants must be able to clean one unit in 45 minutes. Participants will also clean common area bathrooms and guest lockers.

Participants should note that the weather is very hot in Texas in the summertime! Participants should be prepared to work outside in hot weather but will be able to take breaks.

In the Park Attendant position, participants will be required to use cleaning chemicals.

The uniform package will be paid for by the employer. This includes a swimsuit, whistle, fanny pack, and a CPR mouth guard. Participants should bring their own non-thong athletic sandals.

Job Description :
Participants working as Park Attendants will perform many duties. Duties are assigned each day and will be rotated depending on skills and business demands. Some duties will require participants to use cleaning chemicals.

Job duties:
• Housekeeping: Participants will clean full cottages and 1 and 2 bedroom cabins. Duties include cleaning bathrooms (including toilets), refreshing linens, making beds, cleaning windows, and restocking amenities. Participants must be able to clean one unit in 45 minutes.

Participants will also clean common area bathrooms and guest lockers. Participants should have a strong knowledge of the campground and be able to answer any guest questions.

Participants will spend a majority of their time completing housekeeping duties with the "Clean Team".
• Grounds: Participants will sweep common areas, rake leaves, pick up trash, replace trash receptacle liners, clear fire pits and grills, and refresh common areas. These duties form less than 20% of the overall position.
• Kitchen help: Participants may assist the cooks with basic food preparation and washing dishes.

Participants will receive fewer hours after Labor Day (September 7) but will receive 32 hours or more per week on average for the duration of their programs. Participants are able to stay and work at the campground until September 16th at the latest.

Housing Information

The employer provides housing

Housing Description
Participants will live onsite in RV campers, which are divided by gender.
Each RV camper will have one set of bunk beds or two single beds and
one bathroom. Only two participants will share each RV camper. RV
campers also each have a common area and a small kitchenette with a
stove and a microwave. Coin-operated laundry is available in three
different areas at the campground. Linens, basic cookware, and WiFi
are provided. Participants should provide their own towels.

Participants of the opposite gender are not allowed in the other housing
overnight and violation of this rule will result in eviction. Smoking is
PROHIBITED in the housing and violation of this rule will also result in
eviction. Participants are required to vacate the housing within 48 hours
of termination or quitting.

Housing Deposit Required

A $250 deposit is required upon arrival in the form of cash or money order. If a student is unable to pay upon arrival, we can work with them. Participants will receive the deposit back if the housing is left in good condition and participants work until
