Language Level required for this position: Great Kitchen/ Restaurant work: Roles will include dishwashers, salad/drinks/desserts prep work, bussers/hosting assistant. Restaurant serves dinner only so it would be an afternoon/night shift - normally 3:30-10:00 PM Dishwashers and prep work will work in the kitchen. They will open and close the restaurant. Dishwashers will be trained in dish pit to turn around and clean dishes in a fast paced restaurant. Drinks/desserts/salads preppers will be trained how to make desserts and salads and fill drink orders for the wait staff. Bussers/Host assistant: Will help the front of the restaurant. A busser's job duties include clearing tables, taking dirty dishes to the dishwasher, setting empty tables and otherwise assisting the waiting staff. Responsibilities may also include bringing water and introductory foods (tortilla chips, bread etc.) to the table when guests first sit down. Primarily, a busser does all assistant activities including taking out the trash, shining cutlery, refilling water pitchers and restocking dinnerware and utensils. Bussers may also be required to clean restrooms. This will involve cleaning toilets and using cleaning chemicals. Participants will switch roles based on need and to assure they meet the hours requirement and will be offered additional hours in the housekeeping role in addition to helping in the restaurant to make up for more hours.

Some guests leave tips after staying with us for housekeepers. Participants will be cleaning adjoining (jack and jill) type room. Which means, two rooms connected with a bathroom in the middle of the two rooms. Each room has a Queen bed, sharing a bathroom between the two rooms only. This will involve cleaning toilets and using cleaning chemicals. This is a morning/day time shift. Start at 9:00 AM and usually be done around 3:00 PM. Bussers/Host assistant: Will help the front of the restaurant. A busser's job duties include clearing tables, taking dirty dishes to the dishwasher, setting empty tables and otherwise assisting the waiting staff. Housing Description
Housing is onsite, reserved for participants in shared, fully furnished, standard size motel rooms. Students will be in an adjoining (jack and jill) type room. Which means, two rooms connected with a bathroom in the middle of the two rooms. Each room has a Queen bed (not bunk beds), sharing a bathroom between the two rooms only. 1 participant per bedroom and 2 participants per bathroom. Housing will be co-ed. The rooms will have a mini fridge to store their food and there is a microwave and coffee maker available in the common lobby. On the days the restaurant is closed, the student may use kitchen if they want but must clean up afterwards. Note: Rooms have heaters, but no Air Conditioning, but have ceiling fans. Participants can pay rent using cash/ check.
