Job Description :
Participants will work as both Beach Concession Workers and Cashiers and will be assigned a role based on daily business needs.
As Beach Concession Workers, participants will complete the following job duties:
⭐Set up concession stand
⭐Arrange inventory
⭐Advise the Vice President of any inventory deficiencies or pending shortages
⭐Greet guests approaching stand
⭐Acquaint guests with items for sale and uses suggestive selling techniques
⭐Take orders, prepare orders, and serve guests in correct portions following proper sanitation guidelines
⭐Record all food waste
⭐Perform clean-up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area including cleaning equipment, the surrounding area and beach restrooms, including toilets.
Participants will be using cleaning chemicals.
As a Concessions Cashier, participants will complete the following job duties:
⭐Take orders, accept money, and make change for guest at the concession stand. Participants must follow cash handling procedures at all times.
⭐Provide outstanding customer service and deliver menu items in a friendly and timely manner.
⭐Follow all State and Local food handling, alcohol, and safety guidelines.
⭐Assist in getting the stand ready for opening, reconciling the cash drawer and cleaning and closing the stand.
The Cashier will have knowledge of all menu items in the concession stand and be able to provide information and answer questions about menu items.
Dress Code : A uniform shirt is provided for free. Participants can wear pants or shorts without holes. Participants should wear tennis shoes or sneakers.
Housing Description
⭐Participants will be sharing a 4 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms. Participants will be sharing rooms, each with their own bed. Each bedroom has 3 twin beds. Rooms to be divided by gender. The fully furnished house has shared common spaces and a full kitchen. There is a washer and dryer in the home. WiFi is included and provided at the housing. The employer will provide bicycles for the participants to use. Participants are encouraged to purchase a helmet, light and lock. If participants quit or are fired they will have five days to vacate. Participants should pay rent in cash or check. Further details can be found in the housing contract.
