Job Description :
Individuals hired for this position will begin training as Housekeeping.
As a Housekeeping, job duties will include:
- ensure guest satisfaction by cleaning rooms daily according to operational policies and standards
-clean bathrooms including shower curtain, walls, mirrors, tubs, toilet and floor
-dust room items, vacuum floor, clean inside drawers and under the bed and more
-need to pick up and carry bags of linens
Additional duties may be assigned at the employer's discretion
-Attendants will be responsible for washing and folding of all bed linens and towels and cloth banquet napkins, sorting, folding, distributing clean linens, and assisting coworkers when necessary.
They will also deliver and pick up laundry, and communicate with hotel guests in a kind and courteous manner. General cleaning is required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor as needed. Both positions will require the use of common cleaning chemicals.
Participants will either work as a Guest Room Attendant or Laundry Attendant. Position will be assigned based on skill and business levels and is at the discretion of the employer.
Participants must be able to lift at least 30 pounds (13.6 kg) and be physically healthy enough to work for extended periods of time while standing.
Dress Code :
Uniform is provided at no cost. Participants should bring comfortable, closed-toe shoes to work in.
Housing Description
The employer provides housing on-site for participants. Participants will share a hotel room and bathroom. The room will have 2 full-sized beds, a dresser, tv, a desk and chairs, and a microwave and mini-fridge. Participants will have access to the employee break room where 2 free meals per day will be provided. Laundry is located on-site and wi-fi is provided.
