The Flex AM position is a rotating role between the Housekeeping/Hotel General Cleaner position and the Laundry Attendant position, based on resort needs. Hours in each position may not be even. General cleaning is required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.

The Housekeeping/Hotel General Cleaner is responsible for keeping all public areas in the hotel clean and assisting hotel guests. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to: cleaning hotel lobby areas, main entrances (inside and outside), vacuuming, and dusting. Participants will also be required to clean public and office bathrooms, elevators, vending machines, ice machines, stairs, employee break rooms, and all indoor and outdoor garbage containers. Lastly, participants will assist with parking lot clean-up, luggage cart round-ups, and other miscellaneous cleaning duties.

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for supplying internal and external customers with the superior service of clean linens. Participants are held accountable for performing all daily duties of the laundry facility, including, but not limited to: sorting laundry, loading washers, unloading dryers, folding laundry, stocking all linens in an organized and clean environment, and cleaning and safely maintaining the washers and dryers.


Required Qualifications: Must always bring a smile to work, be flexible, organized, and a team player. Must maintain and present a professional attitude and appearance, be able to communicate and follow instructions, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to push carts of dirty linens to and from the machines. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop and kneel. Must be able to use cleaning chemicals. Participants should not obtain a second job until completing their training and obtaining a schedule from their manager.


Uniform Requirements: Participants should bring black pants, black socks, and comfortable black shoes. The other required uniform components cost approximately $55, which is deducted incrementally from paychecks to ensure that weekly wages do not fall below minimum wage.

The Runner is responsible for satisfying and fulfilling all guest requests that are communicated to them by the front desk staff after 4:00 pm. Other Runner duties include, but are not limited to: must keep all hallways clean and clear, supplying the swimming pool and waterpark with clean pool towels, removing all dirty towels, and ensuring that all Runner supply areas are properly stocked at the beginning and end of their shift. The Runner is also responsible for making sure that all rollaway beds are made and that pillows are cased at the beginning of the shift. Lastly, Runners also must ensure that all boxes for Room Attendants' supplies are stocked as needed.

Front Desk Attendant duties include, but are not limited to: registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests’ accounts, making and confirming reservations, presenting statements, and collecting payments from departing guests.

Participants must provide excellent customer service to guests. Participants must be able to take sales calls. General cleaning is required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.


Required Qualifications: Must be fluent in English. Participants must be comfortable speaking on the phone, be outgoing, and friendly. Must be good with computers and have the ability to multi-task. Participants should not obtain a second job until completing their training and obtaining a schedule from their manager.

Job Description :

The Houseperson is responsible for stripping linens from hotel rooms, taking out the garbage, maintaining the lobby and common areas, and interacting with guests and the general public. The Houseperson position is physically demanding and requires pushing heavy cleaning and laundry carts. General cleaning is required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.


Required Qualifications: Participants should be physically fit, and able to lift 50 pounds and push large carts weighing over 100 pounds. Employees should be able to communicate with good English and be able to understand and follow instructions. Participants should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Participants should not obtain a second job until completing their training and obtaining a schedule from their manager.

Lifeguard - $12.00 per hour after passing the lifeguard certification

Job Description :
POSITION PLACEMENT IS NOT GUARANTEED. PARTICIPANTS ARE PLACED AHEAD OF TIME, BUT POSITIONS MAY CHANGE BASED ON EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EMPLOYER NEEDS.

Lifeguard duties include, but are not limited to: guarding deep and shallow water areas, ensuring park rules are followed, and keeping guests safe. Lifeguards must be able to assist guests with a smile. Training is provided after arrival. General cleaning is required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as needed. During training, the pay rate is $9.00 per hour. After lifeguards are certified, the pay rate increases to $12.00 per hour.


Required Qualifications: High English level. Must be able to pass lifeguarding written and swimming test. The swimming test includes treading water for 2 minutes with hands above water, swimming 200-500 meters, and a simulated rescue. Must be able to swim at least 100m. Written and practical tests will be required on site after completion of Red Cross Training provided by Mt. Olympus.

Certification and training will be in the US. Mt. Olympus pays for certification ($75) as long as the participant works through the program end date listed on a job offer. Certification is free of charge unless the student is fired or leaves before the program end date listed on this job offer. Participants should not obtain a second job until completing their training and obtaining a schedule from their manager.


Uniform Requirements: Participants should bring black flip flops, but are issued a full lifeguarding uniform. Uniform costs approximately $104 for men and $109 for women. Cost is deducted incrementally from paychecks to ensure weekly wages do not fall below minimum wage.

Job Description :

This is a housekeeping position. Housekeeping responsibilities include, but are not limited to: cleaning guest rooms and common areas daily, cleaning bathrooms including shower curtains, walls, mirrors, tubs, toilet, and the floor. Housekeepers are also responsible for: dusting room items, vacuuming floors, cleaning inside drawers, making beds, and cleaning under the beds. General cleaning is required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.


Required Qualifications: Participants must be able to communicate and understand directions in English. Must be physically capable of completing all housekeeping duties, including standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and handling cleaning products. Participants should not obtain a second job until completing their training and obtaining a schedule from their manager.

Job Description :

Ticket Seller duties include, but are not limited to: greeting guests in a kind and courteous manner, assisting guests, answering questions, selling park tickets, putting on guests' wristbands, handing out pool towels, and using a cash register. General cleaning is required. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.


Required Qualifications: Must be fluent in English with excellent communication skills. Participants must be very outgoing, friendly, and comfortable speaking with guests and using American currency. Participants should not obtain a second job until completing their training and obtaining a schedule from their manager.


Uniform Requirements: Participants should bring comfortable black shoes and pants or shorts. The other required uniform components cost approximately $60, which is deducted incrementally from paychecks to ensure weekly wages do not fall below minimum wage.

Housing Description
Housing is located off-site at the Hiawatha Residence Hall. Hiawatha is dormitory-style housing, with large, dorm style bathrooms. Each room contains 3-4 beds (may include bunk beds). Each floor of the housing has a community kitchen and dining room. Laundry facilities are available on site. In the Community & Administration Building, there is a large area for occupants to rest and relax. The community room has couches, a TV, a ping pong table, and a billiard table. Hiawatha Residence Hall does not allow any alcohol in the rooms. Failure to adhere to this policy could lead to eviction from housing. Participants are expected to clean up after themselves and help with keeping housing clean.
