Job Description :
As a housekeeper, participants are responsible for cleaning (washing, dusting and vacuuming, tidying) guest rooms and property common areas. Job duties include picking up after a guest, preparing fresh linens (doing laundry), making beds, dusting furniture and fixtures, washing floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, emptying trash cans, cleaning windows (usually less frequently), cleaning the bathroom and toilet, and keeping the guest rooms stocked with accessories and the bathrooms stocked with supplies. Housekeepers will be using cleaning chemicals. Laundry duties include washing, collecting, folding, and delivering linens to assist housekeepers and guests.
NOTE: All participants will share laundry and housekeeping duties throughout the week. Laundry duties such as washing and folding will not exceed 15% of weekly hours. The remaining duties will be shared with housekeeping in cleaning rooms, delivering linens, and assisting guests with requests. Participants will be outside frequently walking from room to room as the motel property has an exterior corridor. The property is horseshoe shaped and ensures frequent interaction with guests. The laundry area in centrally located on the property, and participants will not be isolated in this position. Dress code: Participants should bring jeans or khaki (beige-colored or tan) shorts, and wear comfortable shoes. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes. Sandals are not allowed while working. Apron provided by employer at no cost.

Housing Description
4 participants will be sharing an 11 foot x 11 foot (3.4 meters x 3.4 meters) bedroom (with two sets of bunk beds) attached by an exterior corridor to the employer's house. Participants will have their own entrance, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator, microwave, blender, rice cooker, grill, and utensils. The common areas shared with the employer are the back yard and laundry room - laundry is available free of charge.
